Leyda started with Florida International University in May 2004, as its University Compliance Officer. Prior to coming to FIU, she was Associate General Counsel of Baptist Health South Florida from 1999 to 2004, and Assistant General Counsel of the University of Miami from 1991 to 1999. Prior to that, she was in private practice.
